A Poppy from the Planter

A Poppy from the Planter
7.5 x 10.25
Watercolor is Available

This little poppy is a blossom from one of my pots on the front patio. I think the petals on this flower look so fragile and delicate. Yet it has survived wind, and sun.
I planted my pots a little early and we had two more days of snow, I thought for certain my flowers would freeze. To my amazement they are thriving!
As the background was drying I took a drippy brush of water and dripped onto the background, as the drips dried I sprinkled regular table salt on the the drips and that is how I achieved my background.

Happily Painting Again,
Teresa
